HPMicro EtherCAT Technology Summit and Preview of New Product HPM6E00

On December 12, 2023, Shanghai - The  EtherCAT Technology Summit and Preview of New Product HPM6E00, hosted by Chinese high-performance microcontroller manufacturer HPMicro Semiconductor Technology Co., Ltd. (HPMicro), were successfully held at the Sheraton YouYou Hotel in Pudong. This summit invited senior management and R&D personnel from leading domestic industrial enterprises to participate, and invited special guest Mr. Martin Rostan, Global Executive Director and Chairman of EtherCAT Technology Association (ETG), to share and discuss the development and application of EtherCAT technology with everyone.

At the summit, HPMicro launched the HPM6E00 series - China's first high-performance MCU product with officially authorized EtherCAT Slave Controller (ESC) from Beckhoff, Germany. At the same time, nearly a hundred industry experts and professional media attended the scene.

EtherCAT was originally developed by Beckhoff, a German company. As a high-performance, low-cost, easy-to-use, and flexiblevtechnology, it has become the most widely used and fastest-growing industrial real-time Ethernet protocol in the global market, with a large number of users in China and around the world. “EtherCAT technology has a wide range of applications in China's industrial sector. The launch of the HPM6E00 series represent that China's high-performance MCUs embedded with ESC in EtherCAT have reached a higer level.” said Danny Chen, EVP and Marketing Sales of HPMicro, at the meeting.

HPM6E00 MCUs use RISC-V architecture, with frequency of up to 600MHz and single/dual core options. They integrate the EtherCAT slave controller (ESC) , Simultaneously supporting gigabit industrial Ethernet interconnection and TSN (Time Sensitive Networking), it can meet various communication needs of industrial automation equipment.

The special guest of this summit, Mr. Martin Rostan, Global Executive Director and Chairman of EtherCAT Technology Association (ETG), introduced the past and present of EtherCAT technology at the meeting, and interpreted the advantages and latest application cases of EtherCAT technology from the fields of industry, healthcare, information security, etc.
